Whatever you were doing, I bet you were imagining that one day, you would be 17 and could see R-rated movies without having to ask for permission. And that was only eight birthday parties away. And then after that, you would be 21 (just four birthday parties more) and could go out in fly red shoes with pretty bows to whichever place in town suited your fancy (you heard that last phrase used in a movie once, and weren't sure if it sounded grown-up, or just dumb.
